Hello. This is TorterraOats bringing you an in-depth tutorial on fusing together 2 pokemon sprites. Of course you may do more, but tutorials are for beginners, and beginners MUST start with 2 sprites.
First, you must have some sort of program. This tutorial will be using MS Paint. So, open up you program to begin. Next, you will need a place to get the sprites. This is the easiest method for getting sprites; I have 2 pokemon sprite sheets. Here are d/p sprites for all 493 pokemon:
https://2img.net/h/i194.photobucket.com/albums/z61/ninjachuck385/ALL_pokemon_sprites_by_Forlork.pngHere are Pokemon Platinum sprites for the 210 Pokemon in the Platinum dex. It includes Shaymin's, Giratina's, and Rotom's forms.
https://2img.net/h/i194.photobucket.com/albums/z61/ninjachuck385/platinumalltf7.pngSave those images, and open those in a separate window it paint. Now, select the two pokemon you will be using. I will use Vaporeon and Skorupi. This may be difficult.
Okay, what you want to do is copy and paste 3 of each of the sprites, just in case you mess up, like so:
Also, set the selection box tool settings to the transparent part, so the color that is your secondary color (WILL EXPLAIN LATER!) will be transparent. Like this:
So, now that we got that out of the way, begin the actual fusing.
FUSING:Take a look at the 2 sprites, and see what might be fusible. Once you figure out what you will fuse, begin. I will take Vaporeon's head and put it on Skorupi's body first. In the following picture, you can see I carved out Vaporeon's head and deleted Skorupi's. I scratched a tiny bit of the tail that was missing.
Now, I positioned the head on the body. It looks very awkward, and is not the best example, but we will live with it.
RECOLORING:Okay, now the for recoloring the monster. For other fusions, you may want to add more, like if the pokemon had horns, wings, beaks, etc. But this is more simple, because we don't want to totally eliminate the Skorupi parts. Now, take one of the most important tools, the
INK DROPPER.
You want to absorb all of the colors, and make a whole palette for each Pokemon. Left click on the color you want, click the bursh tool, and make a square. Continue this until all of the colors are out.
QUICK TIP: If part of the pokemon is completely white, and will mess up if you use transparency, click on Colors > Edit Colors..., like so:
And pull the arrow in the custom colors down a tiny bit, to make a non-white almost white.
ANYWAY! Once you get all the colors, left click on the color you want to color in on the sprite, and right click on the color you will be using, and this is where that secondary color comes in. Then click on the eraser tool, and right click to color over the pokemon. I will use Vaporeon's colors on Skorupi.
Okay, so once you finish coloring the sprite, look for any mess ups, uncolored lines, etc. If you find any, try to color over the sprite again. If you continue the have problems, try to just color the lines with another color. So, this is the finished product:
Now that the sprite is done, go to a photo uploading site, like PhotoBucket, Tinypic, Imageshack, etc. Upload the photo and show it to all of your friends!
TIPS:-SAVE AS .PNG. JPG messes up the image quality, and BMP isn't accepted into some uploading sites and will look like JPG. GIF can also mess up the quality.

BMP:
BMP might not get that messed up. It all depends. To be safe, still use PNG.
-Observe which colors are the main body colors. If purple is a main body color on one sprite, and red is the main body color on another sprite, use those colors on each other, and the same for the extra parts.
-Choose pokemon that are almost the same position or have extremely versitile parts. Don't try to fuse Snorlax and Pichu, Wailord and Bidoof, and so on.
-Don't do more than a 5 pokemon fusion right away. It most likely will come out horrible. Wait until you master 2, 3, 4, and 5 pokemon fusions.
Thank you for reading this tutorial. If anyone has any questions, or I missed anything, post it here!
I really hoped this helped.
